My Mum is coming to watch my two children DD is 8 1/2 ADHD, and my son 6 not yet dx with adhd... but getting there. I am having my foot operated on and will not be able to walk or drive for 3 weeks. My Mum is putting her summer vacation on hold to help me out for 2 weeks.
I love my Mum very much and she understands that my dd has ADHD and has been around her from day 1... she lives in NH and I in CA... they get to visit once a year, but they talk via the computer on a web cam. She tells me that I am too hard on her, not don't do that, time to do this, stop doing that, eat, the normal commands of a parent to their children.
This will be the first time that she gets to be in charge of the 2 of them all day long. I will on some heavy pain killers and my hubby works very long hours, so she is on her own.
For all of you out there that have family that don't believe in ADHD or that you are bad parents... you too should try this... hee hee, minus the foot operation.
I am thinking that she maybe able to find some other technics to use with them that I have not thought... this is going to be a learning experience for all of us.
