Ritalin vs. Adderall or Concerta | ADHD Information

Share
Hello all,
I read the last post about Adderall and got some insight but I am seeing my doctor on Friday and would like some info before I go. I had been taking Ritalin for about a month or so and had to keep increasing it because after a while it wasn't doing anything. But for the time I was taking it and after the dose increase, it was great! There were a few draw backs such as rapid heart rate, dry mouth, etc. but nothing so bad I couldn't handle it. Anyway, my question is .... is there a better stimulant people prefer that doesnt have as many side effects and doesnt require so many increases? I am already on Lexapro for depression and have been for years...personally I didnt find much of a personality change on the ritalin so I am not worried about depression etc.

Thanks!
Ever medication is different for every idividual. Even different delivery methods of the same med are metabolized and different. For example you wont necessarily get the same symptom relief or side effects from Concerta or Ritilan LA as with short acting Ritilan even though they are all methylphedinate. It's all about trial and error. There are many, many options out there, keep trying.
