Is he receiving OT at school, every day?My son at that age was the same. As he got older, his impulsiveness and hyperactivity got worse. Your son sounds ADHHHHHD, like mine.
My son also has sensory integration. He can't self regulate. he felt NO pain but now he can be over sensitive. he would spin around and NOT get dizzy, hated his hair to be washed, hair cuts, pushes down too hard when writing, kind of sloppy but has really gotten better. He loves fingerpaints to the extreme for the feeling, but used to hate it. Sensory issues constantly change. As the learn to deal with them, new ones seem to arrive!
Never had the problem with food or clothing textures, but we still have a OT in school. He is 10 this week.
Has the teacher mentioned anything to you??
