Thanks for the information Vickie. I am glad it will be approved. We will be so glad to give it a try with my 9 year old dd to help the hyper impulsive behaviors. I wonder how long it will take to actually get approved and be available in pharmacies? Do you know how long that typically takes? I bet it varies in each specific situation.

It could take 3-6 months and really depends how quickly Shire can respond to the FDA and then roll out a new med on the heals of the Vyvanase.Shire received an approvable letter for their extended version of guanfacine. They now need to provide some more information and come to aggreement with the FDA on the labelling (label, package insert, advertizing).
