Has anyone tried "Sharper Programs" | ADHD Information

Share

I have looked into Biofeedback training and come across a site called Sharper Programs.

It claims to help ADHD in the same way that Biofeedback does.  I am sceptical because it is a program that you download and use for 12 months and I can only have access by paying for it in the US.

I am wary of being ripped off so just wanted to get some feedback (no pun intended ) from anyone who may have tried the Sharper Brain program for ADHD.

Thanks

Hi again Myboyisspecial,

I hope that if people like you and me, and others interested in advancing software to assist with ADHD, make clear our needs to the software makers, they will change and create their policies accordingly. Why don't we tell them we want the option for money back if dissatisfied after a month? Or the option to lease month by month instead of for a whole year? We are a large group, let us make ourselves heard!

Thanks and good luck,

Shalini

Welcome Shalini and thank you.

They do seem very helpful and convincing that they can help and I had often considered going ahead despite my scepticism.

We are all looking for ways to help our children and unfortunately, there are some who take advantage of this.  I had emailed them to ask if they had a distributor in Australia and they replied that they hadn't but assured me I had nothing to worry about.

I appreciate your reply and hopefully, this will help other parents who may be thinking about Sharper Programmes, as I had.

Unfortunately, there are so many scams out there preying on people like us looking for answers.

I think any program that truly works would offer such options as they would have faith in their product and be a reputable organisation to deal with.

I think the best thing we can do is to research the product and cover ourselves by ensuring that we have proof on paper of the conditions of the program.  If the company can't back up their program with some policies in favour of their customer, then you have to question their motives and whether the program is effective.

Thanks Shalini and all the best.

Hi,

I just noticed the discussion on SharperPrograms, so I decided to share with you my experience with Sharper Brain specifically. This is no scam. It’s a legitimate company and a very effective product, to which I am very thankful because of how it has been helping my son. We were just about to start him on medication when I heard from my boss about the program. Apparently, she had bought it for her daughter a few months earlier and told me about the benefits of the program. After 3 months of training, my son is not only more focused, but he is significantly calmer. He got A’s on two math tests, for the first time. We couldn’t believe it.

In terms of their service, my experience has been very positive. In fact, my son had a specific problem (he couldn’t do certain levels well no matter how hard he tried). I was in touch with a person in the company named Robert. He was very helpful in solving this problem. He also called me twice to make sure Paul was doing well. By the way, my understanding is that they are not a software company but a clinic that specializes in cognitive problems such as ADHD. They have doctors you can consult with if you have any difficulties, which is what happened in my case.

I am sorry you did not have a good experience with the sharper programs, but I honestly think that you didn’t give it enough chance. What's 3 days? You can’t tell anything in 3 days. Paul has been using it for 3 months. Let me tell you, this was the best 0 dollars I have ever spent. Actually, I started the program myself (I have been struggling with ADHD for almost 40 years), I think it is much fun. You can immediately see where your problems are. I, for instance, have great difficulties reading, even listening without getting easily distracted. The program identified it right away and I am now working on improving my scores.

I have been rambling on for too long, but as you can see I am quite an enthusiastic user of SharperBrain.

Anyway, good luck to you all.

Brenda

Hi Brenda,

Thanks for your information about Sharper Programs. I agree that it seems like a good product, and obviously your experience was good. My only concern is that if a company has a good product it should not have to force people to keep the product if their child refuses to use it. I'm sure for older children this is not usually a problem.

Best of Luck, I'm glad you're doing better!

Shalini

This is somewhat off-topic because we didn't go through Sharper programs, but we did go through a program that made a huge difference in DD's confidence level and ability to follow through on multi-step tasks. Another component of this program  greatly improved DD's auditory processing speed and fine motor skills such as handwriting. DD went through Mindworks and Interactive Metronome, which did cost us 00 for 2-2hr. sessions a week for 18(?) weeks. At our parent-teacher conference, the teacher stated,"I don't know what you paid for that program, but you do seem to be getting your moneys worth,"(one would hope). Now, despite this glowing report, it was not enough. This program GREATLY benefited our daughter, but we still had to start meds. I believe that these programs can help kids who do not have mod.-severe neurochemical inbalances or insufficiencies. Unfortunately, DD was one of those kids that needs meds to help her focus. With that said, I still have absolutely no regrets and am so glad that we put DD through this program. Here are the links if anyone is interested:

Hi,

I tried Sharper Programs for my 8-year-old, and they sounded nice in their e-mails and offered help, etc. They gave us a one-week trial. 3 days into it, my son was coaxed into using it and I e-mailed Sharper Programs that we would purchase a lease. Then my son got to the higher level where the ball bounced fast and he said it bothered his eyes and refused to use it. I e-mailed them immediately, (we had only had the trial for 5 days), and they suddenly weren't so helpful and said too bad, we shipped it. I offered to pay for their shipping costs but said we didn't want to pay hundreds for something we may barely use, they didn't bother to reply. They never stated that they had a such a strict no-return policy, even when they are dealing with young children who are unpredictable, especially ones with ADHD. They kept telling me to convice him of the wisdom of using their product!

I don't think a company like this should be doing business with families challenged by ADHD. We have enough on our plates without having to deal with deceptive and unforgiving companies. Buyers beware of Sharper Programs!

Thanks for your feedback Brenda.

Was there a contact in Canada or was it all done via the internet? Just interested.

I will definitely look into those links ADDRN, thank you.

Hello,

I heard about the Interactive Metronome, but I couldn't afford a 00 investment. I am glad 0 did the job for my son.

Myboyisspecial: I ordered the program over the phone. Their phone # is 647 439 8416. I think they also have a toll free number but I don't have it written down. Check their site:

www.sharperprograms.com

tessabear, I hate how people can be taken advantag of that way.  How very frustrating.

I went to their website and they claim they can CURE ADHD...somehow, if there was something that cost 0 and could cure ADHD, I think everyone in the country would have used it by now.

Nobody wants to medicate a child so we all look for food, vitamins, and other things and pray they work.  The truth is I know of none of the above that has had long term success with anyone.  Believe me, if these things really worked, the drug companies would be out of business.

Sharper programs is a scam. I was also promised a one weeks free trial, as I have spent thousands of dollars on similar scams--I wrote to them asking them for their honesty and how I could verify if their program was useful before I purchased it, they said that I would have to pay first before I could use the one weeks trial. I told them, Robert, that I would only need a few days to see whether or not this would actually work for me and I would let him know straight away and they could charge me a weeks rental for it as I was honest about this.
Robert from Sharperprograms GUARANTEED that I would notice improvements in a week. He was convinced or he would refund my money back. I asked him not to send me the program in the mail, he was instructed not to send me anything until after the 7 day trial period.
After I installed it and after getting to the second stage, I noticed the music did not run. I emailed Robert and he ignored any of the questions relating to the sound. He blamed my system and this couldn't be.
I visited my doctor, who advised I do not continue with the program as he could not track any improvement and that he believed this was scam. 4 days into it, I was having trouble with the program, and I wrote back and advised Robert i did not wish to proceed. Later that day I received the program in airmail on my door step--after I SPECIFICALLY ASKED THEM NOT TO SEND ME ANYTHING.

I kicked up a massive fuss. I emailed and emailed and emailed and then made international calls and was ignored. Eventually, I'd say, Robert decided I was not going to go away and said he would refund the money, but not the postage fee. I just wanted the situation to be rectified.

Robert then tells me he won't refund anything until the program they sent me was sent back. He wouldn't pay for the postage back and since I DID NOT OPEN by the package, I went back to the post office and they said that since I didn't open the package and I SPECIFICALLY requested they did not send it until after the 7 day period, if I chose to continue on, the post office lady said that I could reject it and it would be sent back.

It should only take 10 days to be shipped back to Ace Clinics (they are affiliated with Sharper Programs and I think they are a distributor).

And guess what? Robert claimed he did not ever receive the package. I have no reason for it since they made me run another program that would remove Sharper Brain.

After a few more phone calls, which were never returned, Robert said he would refund my money minus the postage fee. This took 2 months. He said he hadn't received the package and he would refund the money anyway. I believe he received the package else he wouldn't just change his mind.
He PROMISED he would refund me a certain amount, but instead he refunded me an amount less, which means they charged me postage. When I alerted him of this, he blamed my bank for high fees. But my bank does not charge fees for a REFUND! They said they would refund back a certain amount and they didn't, they refunded an amount much less than what they quoted.

They tricked me.

You can email me at teashirt@gmail.com and I will happily send you all the email exchanges between myself and Robert from Sharper Programs/Ace Clinics.

Please do not believe this company. Their program does not work. Their product is a scam and if they promise you a free trial period, it doesn't make sense why you would have to pay the FULL AMOUNT first. They lie and trick people and then make a profit. They try to coax you into purchasing the product by sending out the 0 software on the first day to force you into sticking with them.

Any questions, please email me and I will provide EVIDENCE.

Tessabear~

I'm curious as to why you would join a forum to make one post on a thread that was started 9 months ago and had it's last reply 7 months ago? You obviously had to dig deep to find this......

I'm glad some people have had good luck with these things, but I just wouldn't be involved with a company like that via mail.  I about fell off my chair when I read the metronome thing was thousands of dollars!  I think you can buy metronomes for under at the music store.....LOL!!!  OK, that's a joke (and probably not a very good one.  Sorry).  Anyway, if I were going to do any bio feedback thing (and I've definitely considered it), I think I'd be far more comfortable doing it through a doctor where I wouldn't eventually be roped into losing money I may need for anger management therapy after being taken advantage of.  Still, it's great that it's working via mail for some of you. :o)I agree, mellowdancer.  That's a mighty big promise for a company to make.

Wow, I was surprised to see this thread revived after so long!

I posted a few topics relating to Biofeedback and Sharper Programs a while back and had little response.

I decided not to try Sharper Programs and, after reading some more experiences I am glad that I didn't.  You are right Tessabear, how can it give the same results as Biofeedback when you are not using your brainwaves?  I had trouble gettting my head around that one myself (sorry, couldn't help myself ).

Maybe for a percentage of people the Sharper Program works, however, if you are not given the opportunity to return the product and get a refund, then you are going to have a lot of angry people and a lot of negative feedback.  The company is doing itself no favors by dishonoring the guarantees.

Tessabear, I'd love to hear how you go with your Neurofeedback.  Please keep us informed of your progress.  This therapy has always interested me but unfortunately, we would have to travel across the country to find a reputable clinic.

Thank you everyone

Tessabear~

Sorry to question you....we were having some SPAMMERS on here, and I was wondering if you worked for a similar company and was here to smash the competition.

I'm also sorry to hear of the terrible time you have had.

Good luck with the neurofeed back.
I went to their website and they claim they can CURE ADHD...somehow, if there was something that cost 0 and could cure ADHD, I think everyone in the country would have used it by now.

Nobody wants to medicate a child so we all look for food, vitamins, and other things and pray they work.
They do work if you know what you are doing.  You have to know what you are treating and how to treat it.  But that's a discussion for the alternative board.

Hi, All!

Thank you for your responses! You are all very supportive.

Tater: rest assured I don't work for the competition. But the minute I find a "cure", you will be the first to see my posts!

I went and had a full EEG carried out. I had a partial qEEG carried out and it was clear that theta levels were not doing me any favours:

The results were:
theta activity was elevated at 2 of 3 sites (Fz, Cz)
beta activity was decreased at 4 of 4 sites (F3, F4, F7, F8)
theta/beta ratio was elevated at 3 of 3 sites (Fz, Cz, Pz)

One of the games of one of my neurofeedback sessions was called "Jumpbox". Actually, this is the exact program that the psychologist administering the neurofeedback uses. It explains the instructions of the games http://www.eegsoftware.com/bgsrelease.html
The psychologist told me to make sure the purple box (representing theta brain wave activity) and the yellow box (which represented high beta, also associated with anxiety and impulsivity) remained small. It is the green box (representing beta wave activity) that I had to work on making bigger. So they connected me up and the purple box TOOK UP THE WHOLE SCREEN! The green box was soo tiny and the yellow box was three times the size of the green box.
I became so distressed when I couldn't figure out what i had to do to keep the purple box smaller. I would score points when the purple box was small and also if I kept the yellow box smaller than the green box. I think that was how the scoring went, but I just couldn't figure out what i was supposed to do. He told me not to worry and that I should just relax, but how could I relax when I wasn't in control and didn't know what to do to decrease the size of the purple box and increase the size of the green box! I really do not understand how neurofeedback works and whether it works at a subconscious level. I have only had 4 sessions and I am told that I will need 60 sessions before I see improvement. Maybe after 30 sessions my brain will figure it out? I am the type of person who doesn't do well in life when she doesn't understand how things work. As soon as I understand how it works, I can make it work! But I simply cannot understand what I am supposed to do in neurofeedback. I have read so many articles and they explain the benefits of it, but I don't think they even understand how it works and I haven't been able to find any articles that explain the technical workings of the brain exposed to neurofeedback and what one has to do when conscious to make the purple box smaller!
Maybe this works at a subconscious level that somehow figures it out without me having to do anything.. perhaps I just have to wait until my subconscious figures it out and then feeds it back to my conscious.. I don't know.. I have tried everything.. I am still working on meditation.. I even went as far as hiring a guided meditation coach who told me that my problem could be fixed in 3 months.. first, he said, I had to learn how to breath through my nose because he thought that it was my breathing through the mouth that was depleting the oxygen going to my brain! I tried to breathe through my nose, but 20 mins. into it my nose blocked up and I tried to explain I was an asthmatic once upon a time and that I had troubles breathing through my nose because I simply had a nose that just blocked up and he told me that this was all in my mind!
I tried and tried and tried to breath through my nose, I even tried nasal irrigation, but everytime I tried to breathe through my nose, it would block up. He told me to keep at it.. it was the practice that was important..

I was going to put sticky tape over my mouth before I went to bed and see if my body adapts to nasal breathing. If I can train my body to breathe through my nose by sticking taping my mouth during 12 hours of sleep each night, perhaps after a few weeks it will work...? I guess it will either work or I will suffocate and die..

Sigh..

I'll keep you all updated. I tried the vitamins routine for a few months. I even tried waking up every morning and jogging for an hour and a half.. I just found myself tired and in need of more sleep.. it is supposed to release endorphines that are supposed to help keep me alert and something or other about helping the hippocampus.. I did that for two months and even tried the healthy lifestyle, eating more greens and drinking 4 litres of water a day.. but nothing..

I really am quite distressed about this and my last hope is neurofeedback. I feel that if I can't get this issue resolved, it will kill me. :(
People think i'm just "lazy" and I should "just get over it".. I'm not lazy and after being on stimulant medication (and abusing them because I had a lot of work to do and I had to stay up to do it) for 12 years, it has lost its efficacy and I really believe my poor memory is the adverse affect of stimulant medication. I just feel like I am getting "dumber" each year..

Sigh..

I will keep you all updated.. anything that I feel has worked, I will let you know.
Unlike the liars out there, I know how ADD people feel, so you can rely on me to report what treatment I found effective, which may or may not be effective for others since we all have different brains.

Strangely, Ritalin did not work for me at all.. Only dexamphetamines work for me.. Ritalin was terrible.. I will never take that stuff again, ever.. None of the other medication, such as wellbutron (spelling?) or any other SSRI/anti-depression medication worked.. Only dexamphetamines, which I now need 80 mgs of each day to get through some of my work.. It's not working and it seems to be killing my working memory..

So far, though, no treatments have worked. I'll see how neurofeedback goes and let you know because it's only been 4 x 30 min. sessions.

tessabear, my brain hurts from trying to figure out what you were talking about regarding the red, purple, green boxes.......LOL!!!!!!!  No.....it's okay.  I have focusing issues, myself.  That post lost me so much that it might as well have been written in Arabic.   LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I need a strong cup of coffee now.

Tessabear

I have read into neurofeedback a bit and can make sense of what you are saying.  Can't the psychologist give you some idea of what to expect and what you need to "do" to get those damn boxes the right size?

I admire your determination and ability to shrug off such small minded comments (referring to the laziness and "get over it" mentality ).  Keep at it Tessabear, I think you are a great example and inspire me to keep trying for my son.  He takes dexamphetamines for schooldays and he does benefit from it but I would love to find an alternative before he reaches his teens.

All the best Tessabear and keep us updated on that neurofeedback.

Myboyisspecial: I finally figured out what you nickname means! I use to look at your nick and think "biospectical..".. heh.

Thank you all for your comments. Wow, you must be the ONLY people who actually READ my posts! I send emails to many of my friends (very lengthy ones-you know what it is like with ADD, you are a chronic procrastinator and spending 1 year typing out on an email is better than everything else) who become rather annoyed with my nonsense, they don't read further than the first line before deleting the email!

The psychologist cannot tell me what to do, maybe because he has no idea either, he just tells me to try to concentrate, but HELLO!!! I have ADD, concentration is my BIGGEST problem.. It's like telling a person who has lost their hands in an accident to wave! It cannot be done..

Anyhow.. I will certainly keep you updated in relation to neurofeedback. I'm trying to find a doctor who will let me spend a week camping out at his surgery connected to neurofeedback 24 x 7!

:
Hi, Tater.

I actually joined this forum about 6 months ago but I haven't been keeping up and I forgot my login name and password. :(
I remember doing a search for "Sharperbrain" (with no space as this is what the software is called) but could not find a match when I was trying to decide whether it was a worthwhile program. I am still trying to get the rest of my money back, they just keep giving me here and there and I am still out of pocket. Anyhow, after my last email to them, I decided to check google newsgroups to help alert people in my situation given the number of problems I have had. I typed in "Sharper Programs" this time but in the web search and not in the newsgroups search and low and behold, the first hit was this thread.. I wish I had found it sooner, I should have searched for "Sharper Programs" instea of "SharperBrain".. sigh. Had I found the post back in June, I would not have purchased the product because I, too, was told that I would get a 7-day trial. 4 days into the trial period, the 0 software comes in the mail even though I was still in the trial period.. this automatically meant I lost in postage and handling. Given that the program had problems with sound (which continued to play even after the program was terminated) and then the sound only played during only certain parts of the program (which the company continued to ignore), I finally realised there was something amiss with this company and this product.
Any company who believes in its product NEVER uses unorthodox methods to force the product on a buyer. You'd think that they would have a 7-day trial period license key to give its users to use, rather than expect a buyer to pay for the full version and trusting the money would be refunded if the buyer did not wish to keep the product.

Anyhow, and in response to your question, after I tried to login and failed, I created a new username (one that I will now remember) and posted to warn others who are in my situation. I have been taken advantage of many times. All I want is to treat my ADD/ADHD. I explained to Sharper Programs of my previous problems, of the other companies who took me for a ride. He was so nice to me and seemed genuine in wanting to help, but sure enough, after I made a payment, the service changed and that's when all the problems I experienced within a few days after making a payment alerted me. Even my treating doctor thought that the program was a scam and told me that there was no way to track the progress of such a program.

I just wanted to post and warn others.

PLEASE, please, please--if you are interested in this program, email me and I will be too happy to send you all my correspondance with this company to prove that it is truly one big scam. Don't pay the full price for the product. They tell you you can only take advantage of the trial once you pay the full price and if you do not wish to continue after that, you get your money back. That is a lie. First they send you the product using expedited shipping (so you have lost postage and handling straight away), then they tell you to continue using the product for a few more days after the 7-day trial (this way they can argue you used the product well after the 7-days and therefore you are no longer entitled to a refund), but if like me you sent emails every day well before the 7-day trial period concluded expressing your desire not to continue with the program, they tell you they will refund the money but once they receive the product they sent you by mail.
I told them I would only be too happy to send the product and whether I should send it by registereed mail, as I assumed they would be paying for the postage for the return of a product I SHOULD NOT HAVE RECEIVED BEFORE AGREEING TO PURCHASE THE PROGRAM AFTER THE 7-DAY TRIAL PERIOD. They said they would not pay the postage and that I should send it using normal post.
I didn't open the package and when you don't open the package, you can have the package sent back by refusing it (since it wasn't opened). I refused the package and it went back to the sender, this way Ace Clinics (Sharper Programs distributor) would have to pay the postage. This was the only way I could avoid spending even more money that I knew they would not cover.
Sure enough, they still claim they have not received the product. I don't believe them. I sent it back, I have no use for software they sent to me via email. Why on earth would I keep a 0 DVD they forced onto me when it was no use to me? I wanted my refund, so of course I was going to send it back and they would pay the postage for my refusal of the unopened package, so of course I was going to send it back that way.

Sigh..

Leigh_GA_66: lol.
I tried neurofeedback via a registered doctor. Nothing as yet, but it has only been 5 sessions. My doctor says I may see noticeable improvements after 30 sessions. But another doctor told me it would require at least 60 to 120 hours before anything was noticed.
Neurofeedback doctors don't seem to let you do more than 30 mins. 3 times a week, but another doctor told me that the best way to see improvements is to do as much as you can over a few days rather than twice a week over 6 months. The more hours you do the better. The brain needs to get used to it and there are so many different ways they can help improve certain parts of the brain using neurofeedback, but again, this takes many, many hours and at least you can track the progress because you are hooked up to an EEG. I don't understand how ANY of these Sharper Brain programs can work in a few days when state of the art neurofeedback software requires a significant number of hours before small improvements are noticed.
Another expert in the field told me that I may not have the brain structure that responds to neurofeedback, so I had a complete neurological assessment using a head cap of electrodes to track my performance under rigorous tests that lasted 2 hours. I am now waiting for the assessment to be analysed and treatments to be provided.

But the most important thing is, with neurofeedback, you use your BRAIN WAVES to control the games. Sharper Brain and SHarper Memory use your FINGERS on a computer, so OF COURSE it's not going to work...

I feel so stupid being roped into nonsense I should have known would NOT work. There is absolutely no way it would work. I can't believe they pay professionals to write reports and vouch for the product when logically it is clear that there is no way this product can help.

I think I will go and buy "Red Bull" now.. why? because the advertisement said that "it gives you wings"..

I don't believe this product has worked for anyone and it is my contention that it is likely those who work for the firm are the ones suggesting that they have had success.. how do we prove they are not working for the firm and trying to boost their sales? we don't know when the medium is the internet..

Sorry for the delay in posting this.. if I had found this thread sooner, I would have posted. I hope no one else has purchased the product. Of course, you may have had success, but I don't see how anyone could benefit from such a product when the way neurofeedback works is very different to the way this program works. One uses ones brain waves and the other uses ones fingers on the keyboard..

Anyhow.. I am still upset about this, so don't mind my lengthy post. :)

I am now trying Flaxseed Oil..fingers crossed..
Sharper programs is a scam.

Thank you a lot for publishing this line. I was in the final stage of ordering their dubious software when an event happened that shattered the rest of my trust in them.

If you are reading this before end February 2006, paste into your google or any other browser "sharper programs" and you will see for yourself.

"This website www.sharperprograms.com is currently unavailable due to exceeded monthly traffic quota. Please visit again later."

They, the allegedly top professional cognitive clinic are hosted for FREE on: doteasy, the leading "cost-free", "banner-free" business hosting network.

They are laughing stock: they charge more than a professional price but want to be hosted for FREE !!!

They are so greedy that they do not pay even for their scam site hosting professionally!

This was the final eye opener.

I tried to get reference on the web before, but I did not find anything negative about them when I used search phrase of "sharper brain" or "sharper memory". The only irregularity was too little positive feedback if the software was that much of a breakthrough they claimed.

They were willing to deny nose between their eyes:
I have been considering to buy their software for a year. A six months ago I saw their paltry "money back" guarantie on the site. I could not find it recently. I asked whether they ever had this claim on their web. They made a fool of me. They denied it.

Now I learned that even if they had any "money back" it was to no awail because of their ethics.

Further details to raise suspition are as follows:

1. They, allegedly prestigious cognitive clinic, host their web on a free hosting site. I wanted to check a detail on their web to find out to my astonishment that they cannot be accessed because of “This website www.sharperprograms.com is currently unavailable due to exceeded monthly traffic quota. Please visit again later.” at doteasy, “the leading cost-free, banner-free business hosting network.” (I wonder if you can see the same from your American location after entering “sharperprograms” into google.)

2. I am a foreigner but their email replies appear to have a number of typos. On their web my impression is they present their professionalism a bit sloppily (graphs with little attention to description, they sent me an old and not entirely relevant study on my asking a specific question). It feels to me they are selling popular images of professionalism rather than the thing itself.

3. There is no reversal if you sent your money to them.

4. They claim that they repair permanently brain mechanisms that underlie attention and memory. The program is not needed after the treatment is over. After I addressed the issue of further life stress (which they claim is behind most of the blocks) they acknowledged that I am right and the programs could be needed later. They only provide one year license for people to be able to “afford the treatment.” (While they cannot afford professional web hosting for a professional price…)

5. I got the impression they could be perhaps a little pragmatic regarding European taxes. If their revenues were discussed my impression was they were uncompromising.

...AFTER I FOUND YOUR LINE I WAS SURE THEY REALLY ARE A SCAM.

THEY ARE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF WHOEVER IS IN NEED AND DO IT WITHOUT SCRUPLE.

I wrote to them about my personal situation. I am from central Europe and to afford their product I would have to live for half a year below poverty line! Your incomes you guys in America/Canada do not compare with what is available elsewhere.

But they did not even cringe.

yess...I also met "Robert". I have just received a reply to my last round of questions in my mailbox from him, to seal the deal.

I will enjoy his last round of mandatious attempts at my cash with a lot of meriment now. ...

I am going to enjoy a scam for the first time in my life.

If particularly funny I can post him [our dear common friend Robert] right here to share the glee with all of you.

I commiserate with all other victims of Robert$company.
I am the most gullible type of person myself. I was helped by sheer luck!

And by you

Thank you a lot.
Spread the word!!!

Dear friends,

Here I am again. I have diligently read all the thread by now. My amusement continues.

To Brenda: Yes, I would ardently desire I could get such a blissful experience you are reporting, in particular if I paid so dearly for it. Based on my experience so far I can tell about your positive example only one of two things: you/your child are extremely lucky OR you are connected with them. Personally, I feel the first option is unlikely. Sorry.

I have lost a lot of time virtually dreaming about what the sharper brain software will do for me. I exchanged a couple of extensive emails with them and my impression is unequivocal: they are absolutely unforgiving and uncompromising regarding the price.

Whatever appeal I made on their humanity, they shrugged it off. BUT whenever I enticed them by insinuating I can spend even more they were all kindness.

They are blatantly taking advantage of people in distress.

To Shalini: I do agree absolutely: The only fair use I could ever consider using such and a similar program would be pay on day-to-day basis AND before that FREE trial WITHOUT having to pay for it in advance.

IF THE SOFTWARE WAS NOT A SCAM and if they were people of genuine good will they would have been more than willing to provide the software under such conditions, believing in the genuine strength of their product. WHAT HAPPENS IS THE OPPOSITE: THEY ARE PRESSURE SELLERS.

It starts with their web already. By no means it is a web presentation of a genuine professional body. It is a genuine quack presentation pretending to be professional.
Take a white coat and a stethoscope: you will APPEAR a doctor with about similar degree of confidence as they do parading in white coats all over their web.

This is NOT professional.

They deal with their attempted-at-to-look-professional side of their business really sloppily. If I presented results of my research in my thesis the way they deal with theirs then I would NOT PASS.

Sorry.

I almost parted with my money IN SPITE OF the above because I just yearned for a product to deliver according to their claims.

….I CHALLENGE ANYBODY WHO PROVIDES GOOD FEED-BACK FOR THEIR PRODUCT(s) ON THESE PAGES TO LET ME TRY IT– or to mediate a fair trial from them - FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS/WEEks UNDER CONDITIONS I OUTLINED ABOVE.

You could do so without any fear of prosecution from them because THEY ARE IN BREACH OF THE LAW if they do not offer money back free trial for legal period, in the Czech Republic anyway.

I DO YEARN TO BE IN THE WRONG: IF THEIR PRODUCT(s) REALLY WORKED AS ADVERTIZED I would be the first to sing praise for them.

I would be much happier if I proved to be in the wrong in this scathing criticism of them than to be in the right without TRUE and REAL benefits of what they claim to offer. Sorry.

To my chagrin and remorse, they are just one more case of charlatans who have been with us,miserable humanity, all the ages long, thriving on human misery and enticing false hopes in the hopeless and helpless.
Hello everyone,

I just joined this forum to let you know that according to my experience SHARPER BRAIN IS NOT A SCAM.

In fact, it "saved" my life. My experience was very different. The way I see it, a scam is when people take your money and disappear. I don't think the sharperprograms clinic is like that.

In my case  they were very helpful. When I first ordered the program the shipment got lost and they sent me another one, then I got both packages.

I completed the sharper brain program within 4 months. I had done neurofeedback before but it was too expensive and the results were marginal (I did 12 sessions and I was told I needed many more). Sharperbrain also incorporates cognitive training as part of the program which I found to be very effective when I compare it with neurofeedback. Let me tell you: if not for this program I would have had to quit school.

I actually know Robert from my dealings with sharperbrain -  he helped me interpret my scores. For instance, I was shown that my working memory was deficient, which means that I was not able to hold enough information to comprehend what I was trying to learn. This was a big eye opener.

I started the program with an average of 67% and moved all the way up to 89%. For me the biggest benefits include being calmer, being able to concentrate with ease and having a clear head - something I never had before. My mind always felt cluttered, jumping from one thing to another.

By the way, based on my results my nephew started the program a couple of months ago and from what I am hearing he is doing quite well on it.

Anyway, I just wanted to share my experience with you and good luck to all with whatever you are trying next.

Hello,

I read the content of this forum and wanted to let you know that from where I come (Israel) sharper brain is very popular and has excellent reputation. It is used by dozens of professional clinics and also local schools.
I have been using sharper brain with two of my kids (ages 11 & 6).
The younger one who just finished grade one experienced a lot of impatience and could not sit still for too long in class. I was afraid to start him on Ritalin, therefore looked for other alternatives. The program was recommended by a local ADD clinic.

Being a skeptic, I called two other local ADD clinics who also recommended the program (the local distributor’s site actually lists more than 30 clinics who use sharper brain). My child is very smart and competitive but had severe attention problems. He started on the program 4 months ago and his average in the beginning was pretty low (only 36%), within one month of practice he went up to 47% and within 2 months he reached 65%. His last average was 72%. The increase in scores was very motivating for him and as concentration improved his self esteem has also improved. Today he is able to sit still for the entire lesson in class, which was totally surprising to his teacher. Even my parents who were not aware of the training on sharper brain commented on how much calmer and generally better behaved he became.
My older son who has milder symptoms of ADHD actually noticed the changes in his brother and he asked me if he could also train on the program. He only started last week so it's too early to report, but so far he enjoys doing it.

To all of the skeptics, despite of what I have read on this forum, sharperbrain works great, at least it worked very well for my son. I know this sounds as a commercial but it isn’t. Only mothers who have kids with ADHD know the challenges involved. I am doing this to help other parents help their children like we did.

All the best.
