My 8yr. old ds is going for "educational testing" at the U of Iowa on Wed. and I'm not sure what to expect. We set the appointment up months ago. They told us they would be testing his ability to pay attention, follow directions and thing of that nature (all of which he struggles with even on meds-concerta27mg and tenex).
I'm just wondering if any one has had tests like this done so I can tell him what to expect.
gracias!
My kids had educational assessments (private educational psychologist) and the youngest has been assessed by the school as well. These included the WISC IV (IQ test) and achievement tests. The WISC evaluates processing time, spatial, auditory, etc. issues, depending which subtests are used. Also the doc observed and commented on attentional issues during the testing. We were given Conner's forms for us and the teachers to fill out.
