We just moved here from Va and i am looking for new psychiatrist that accept medicaid. My boys are 12,11,8 oldest has add and two younger ones have adhd.
Also if you know of any speech places i would greatly appreciate any info or ot therapy as well. I have been looking but not much luck
Still no body in central KY?? :( or KY anywhere??I'm in KY. Frankfort to be exact. We don't have much here by way of child psychiatry. We do have the Comprehensive Care Center. You may look into that. Where are you located?

yeah we are on a waiting list for that right now. The Dr we see now keeps telling my boys homeschool is not real school and upsets them and took them off their dosage of meds and decreased it big time and there having a lot of problems cause of itHi, I used to live in Winchester and worked in Lexington. I was a behavior therapist there with Charter Ridge (now just The Ridge) Behavioral Health system. There are tons of great child psyc's in Lexington, and most take Medicaid. Definately check into Lexington if you are nearby.

The doctor at CCC comes from Lexington. That's why there is such a wait. She only comes to Frankfort so many days a month. It makes it very hard to schedule, especially if the children go to school. Since you are homeschooling you will most likely have a more flexible schedule so this may work for you.
You might try going directly to Lexington if transportation isn't a problem. I hear the doctors at UK are awesome. I tried to get an appointment with them years ago but they did not accept my insurance, at that time I had Aetna.
I hope you find one and soon! Your current doctor sounds terribly unhelpful. It must be hard for you...Three boys with ADHD. I have two boys, 7 and almost 5. They are a handful. My oldest has a diagnosis, but the youngest does not...but I'm starting to wonder.
