Stoping meds | ADHD Information

 My son was diagnosed with ADHD/BIPOLAR when he was 5 yrs old and was on all types of meds. Well he is 11 now well about a one and half years ago me and his dad spilt well i meet someone else and he (my son) was fine so i stoped his meds big mistake he is getting back in to the back talking and beingout of control to where i dont know what to do if you know what to do help me i dont want to have to put him on new meds of any thingYou need to take him to a Psychiatrist that specializes in Bi polar. BP is not a disease that you can just "stop meds". What meds was he on?? It is very possible that a diagnosis made at age 5 is not accurate, or he has developed other issues. I responded on the other post, but we all seem to be in agreement that your son needs to be reevaluated.

He was 5 when the first was done, now he is 11. Puberty will also change things, including meds as well.

Even thougth he was doing good, probably with the help of the meds, he will  ALWAYS  have ADHD& BIPOLAR, if those are correct diagnosis. So by taking him off the meds because he was having good days, wasn't good!

Have the evaluation and start the meds again once the results are in!
