I have a 8yr old who is ADHD, and "borderline" mood disorder. He takes 15 mg of Adderall XR in the am, and around 3:00pm he takes Focalin 5mg. We were seeing that he was really edgy and easily frustrated and our bedtime routine is just 'hell' to put it mildly. When we explain to the child psychtrist what is going on she mentioned the drug TRILEPTAL. We started it, and we have seen a huge difference for our evening and the 'tantrums' are short lived. Has anyone else heard of this, I looked it up and it's a anti seizure med.
My 6 year old son has ad/hd and possibly bipolar. He is on lamictal (an anti seizure med) and adderral xr. He takes trazodone to help relax him to go to bed at night. I know alot of people who have had great success with trileptal.Hello!
I'm 38 yrs and was diagnosed with Adult ADD -w/bipolar disorder. The first combination that I was place on was the adderall xr & trileptal. It truely has changed my life. I have no more mood swings and I am able to work through and neg. emotions very quickly. I have been on the combination for over 2 yrs. with 0 side effects.
