We made it through the fair! | ADHD Information

On july 17th we went to our doctor to see if we needed to up the dose of focalin  xr for our daughter.  As far as I was concerned we did.  He agreed.   He told me from what I described she was rebounding all afternoon when the meds wore off.  He prescribed 20 mg up from 10.  I was so afraid because the next day we were to be at our 4-h county fair for a week.  We would have to stay there for 5 days in a camper in a fairgrounds that is like an anthill.  You always get low on rest and the forcast said the weather was to be in the 100+.  If she had a bad daywopuld it be the meds or just the heat, and lack of sleep.  I can say she stayed on task for the most part would carry out the tasks I asked of her with little arguing ( arguing is just part of being a kid) and she did the best she could do.  She is so much easier to be around and live with I think we are close to the right dose.  Out of 32 entries, she got only 5 red ribbons and all blue.  It was great to see her accomlpish so much with out the fight.  congrats
