Hey Citygirl,
Your pharmacy probably switched generics. Sometimes that happens. There really shouldn't be a difference. Double check that they didn't give you the wrong DOSE, then maybe figure out which generic (the manufacturer) you used before and see if someone else has it - or your current pharmacy can get it special. You doc may be able to specify the "brand" on the prescription....?
There are definitely people who are sensitive to generics and don't get as good of an effect from them (or a change from one generic to another). My doc told me he has a patient who can only use ONE generic form of Ritalin. Has tried all others and only this one works.
Good luck!
when you get a generic it doesn't have everything in it as the real deal. i think they are only required to match patent by 70% of original. that's why you aren't getting the same results. i used to take generic birth control and could totally tell the difference b/w it and the real deal (generic made me way moody) so i did some research and found the above.Interesting! The generic for Flonase gives me a headache. This explains why the two nasal sprays are different enough that I could react so differently.
