The Center for Assited Learning in Houston is wonderful, an hour, but well worth it IMO They tutor kids with "Learning Differences". They offer one on one tutoring and small group tutoring. They do a "learning assessment" when you enroll. DD attend 3 days a week, althouh it is an 80 mile drive for me.

we spent the good part of a year trying to get my dd a readintg tutor. I'll pm you some links.
We actually kept on school and they ar paying for my daughters reading tutor and provided her. She meets her at school so as not to try to do it at home like you said with all the distractions. Even if his disability isnt enough for them to pay and you are willing to pay ask them to refer you to some one.
Good luck!
Good Morning, We live in Cypress(Houston) Texas and we are looking for a good tutoring school or program. Our son is 7 and has ADHD. He is currently on Concerta. He is entering the first grade this fall. We are looking for an away home program to avoid any distractions. Anyone with any suggestions or comments please PM me.
Thanks
Hamza-
I too live in the Cypress area (Houston) and am a school counselor in the Cy-Fair District. If this is your district, the counselor of your kiddos's school keeps a list of private tutors (mostly made up of teachers who want to make extra $), the subjects they teach, and cost. It's not an announced list but rather one that is requested through teacher conferences, etc. Call your school counselor!
