It's an amazing relief to see that this was a positive experience. It is such a throw of the dice with these kids. It really playing rolling with the emotions!!
Maybe a new game show of ADDERS!
I feel for you and your son and I am glad that he made it home safely. It is so amazing that these children keep it all inside until they feel safe at home, and then let it loose! My dd does that to us often. So glad for ALL of you that your son was able to keep his self-control many kudos to him for that!Well I sitting by the phone like I have all week waiting for the school to ring saying my son has had a melt down and needs to come home. Well they haven't !! We did receive a phone call saying the bus had broken down in the middle of no where with 40 11-13 year olds. At 3:30pm they said it would be 4 hours late because they had to send a replacement bus... Still waiting and it is now 5 hours!!! It's moments like this I am glad I'm not on teaching and on the bus with these kids. No food.... cold.... no new movies... no toilet!!!!
I can just imagine how the camp is going to end for one 14 year old who suffers anxiety, ASD and ADHD. I think I'll send my husband to pick him up - it could be ugly!!!!!!!
I did spend 4 hours in his room under his bed trying to clean it up!! What is it with 14 year old boys????
Keep you informed of how the night ends up!!!!!
Well he is back!! Absolutely wound up and riding high!!! Meds have worn off and hadn't eaten for at least 6 hours!!!
When we arrived the three teachers came up to see us - oh oh!!! Our son had hurt his knee and they were so scared to tell us - we are the parents from hell and they were so scared. We were just happy he didn't have a melt down and punch someone!!
No doubt he'll calm down enough to tell us more about what happened.
I missed him
