Our 14 year old son is now on a very high dose of concerta. He has 72mg concerta and 15 mg of quick release ritalin. He is only small and just started to develop. Presently he is about 4 1/2 foot and about 4 stone. He has developed some side effects such as a dried out and irritated nasal passage and cracked lips. He also takes avanza (remeron) nightly to help with sleep and 50mg of Zoloft each morning to help with his anxiety. He has been on lots of meds with the most suitable being 15 mg of quick release every 3 1/2 hours. However this was not practical for school (tablet taking wasn't happening!) and so we have worked on concerta. Anyone had experiences with the high doses and should we be concerned?
