Parent training | ADHD Information

Research and experience shows that parent training in working with kids with ADHD can be quite beneficial. The primary aim of parent training is to learn behavior management methods specifically designed for this population. From what I can tell, the greatest gain is in oppositional behaviors which often go along with the disorder.

There are a number of books available from the ADD warehouse. I cannot personally say much about any specific books but the company has a good reputation.

I was wondering if anyone has been in a parent traing group for parents of children with ADHD? If you have do yu know which program it was? If you have not, would you think you would want to? Not a parent training, but DD has attended Behavior therapy classes to help her concentrate better. I have been present and learned new techniques for refocussing her.
