200 hundred kids at one hotel has the potential to be a huge disaster. Actually, just my 2 kids at a hotel have that potential as well.
Congrats on a successful trip!
My son (almost 6 yo, ADHD) and I had the chance to travel to New Jersey this last weekend for a Guatemalan Adoptive Families Event. (my son came home from Guatemala when he was 8 1/2 months old).
He did so good. He was an absolute angel in the airport and on the plane. We had a few minor disturbances while at the event, but then, every family did. There were 150 families and probably 200+ kids at the hotel, and most of the kids were very hyperstimulated and overtired, so everyone had their little moments.
But, he made some good friends, had lots of fun, and we roomed with a friend and her daughter who my son had not seen since they were 2. They played well together, but started acting like siblings, which was kind of funny to see.
I kept a very very watchful eye on him, because when he is overstimulated like that, if something happens, his impulsivity may get the better of him and he may push or yell at the other child - many times I can see when something like that is going to happen, and step in and help him to get himself back under control.
But, all in all, it was a wonderful trip, and I was very proud of him.
awesome it is always great to rave about our children, sometimes we only focus on the stress and bad things it is always nice to be able to breath and enjoy the great things!!!
GOOD JOB
