Has anyone started one of these and have recommendations? I want to start one at my daughter's private school and am looking for like-minded parents. She is only 7 and going into 2nd grade and I really want to find other moms/dads who have kids who are experiencing similar issues and also are going w/ meds (I would hate to fill it w/ some anti-medication parents).
I don't want to join a bigger support group because I fear there will be too many adults/other issues we don't relate to.

I hear what you are saying. I would like to have the same thing for my husband and I. We are feeling right now like we are re-inventing the wheel when it comes to knowing the right choices to make for our son and in working with the school district.
I was so glad to find this forum to look and learn from. Our son is in 3rd grade this year and we pray we get a good teacher. We are working with a therapist who has been very insightful in just looking at testing results, past IEP information and in seeing our son twice. I'm hopeful that this will help with some of our concerns such as high IQ but low grades in some subjects and on again off again struggles to get homework done at night.
At least we can talk back and forth here.....and help each other.
