Lead poisoning can cause sezuires, which was the first thing I suspected with your son's rage.

Your son needs a thorough eval, blood work and a scan to study brain waves to check for sezuires.

Chelation therapy is the ttreatment for Lead Poisoning. It is used when the lead poisoning is severe.

If he has Lead Poisoning the n he may very well NOT have ADHD. Lead Poisoning is one of the 50 things that "mimic" ADHD.

A full psych eval and bloodowkr would be a good idea. Is he having Chelation therapy for the lead poisoning?

My 7 year old does that often, it seems after we get him into a safe place and ignore him he calms down sooner. cody has ODD with his ADHD.My son yesterday went into a blind rage for about a hour. It happened when we were biking on the trail and we went down to the stream to cool off. Well he didnt want to leave. He went into a HUGE tempertantrum and then went into a blind rage bit me over 3 times. Screamed kicked - mind you we were on a little ledge that goes back into the water. If I would have let go of him he would have blindly went over the edge. Then it took everything I had to hang onto him while hes in rage. Me and him almost went over more then twice. When I finally got him to the safe ground he went after me and his sister (99% me) with everything he cound! You should see the bit and other marks on me! He was shaking so bad. I dont know what is going on but it has to stop!! Please help me - what was this?!?!?!?How old is this child? I also wonder what is his diagnosis?Have your son checked for seizures. Even though you may not 'physical' see them; sezuires are well known to cause these types of sudden fits of rage.What is his diagnosis? He has lead posioning. They say he had ADHD. I say he has much more then that!yes take him for a full psych evaluation. Does he take meds? If so who prescribes them?
