	Need a good Doctor-Tampa, FL Hi & welcome to Tampa! I read your post days ago, but I was unable to log on. Abuse of ANY controled drug in FL. was so bad in the 90's that now it's so hard to get help when you need it. Before I was DX'ed about 4 yrs ago, I self medicated. I could walk in to a doctors office and walk out with..... oh , anything I wanted. AND I DIDEN'T EVEN USE MY REAL NAME! Thats the reason it's so hard to get help. I'm ashamed of what I did, but I felt somewhat normal. I coulden't believe how many pple I knew were doing this! I finally found help, and have been going for 3 yrs! You diden't mention where in Tampa you live. I live in a town called Oldsmar, that is a stones throw from Tampa. It's called A & M Services, 1938 Soule RD, Clearwater 33759. I was tested there and I am on a high dose of adderall-20mg,@ 4 a day. They are strict also, but if you have your test results, I don't see that there would be a problem If your interested, let me know where in Tampa you live. I was playing phone tag for almost a week to get a LIVE human. HELP! I was diagnosed with Adult ADHD in October 2005 in Virginia. I have recently moved to Tampa, FL and am looking for a good psychiatrist in the Tampa area who specializes in Adult ADHD. I did not have insurance when I first moved here and hadn't had my medication for about 6 months and when I managed to save up enough money to see a doctor, I met with resistance as far as being prescribed my medication (I am on a high dosage of Adderall) even though I had brought in my prescription history showing that I was taking it at that dosage for quite some time. Apparently, it is being abused here in Florida to such an extent that people who actually need it are being looked at suspiciously. I was given multitudes of diagnostic tests that proved I was ADHD. Now that I have insurance, I would like to continue treatment as I have gone without it for about 6 months and am getting back to the point where I had short term memory loss, racing thoughts, inability to focus, etc. and being that I am at a new job, I don't want out of control ADHD messing it up for me. Does anyone know of a good psychiatrist in the Tampa area who is open minded?! Your help is appreciated. Thanks!
