Concerta wearing off? | ADHD Information

Hi, i recently began taking 27mg of Concerta. I noticed a really big change the first day i took it. I stayed negative about the entire ordeal so i don't have a placebo effect. After 3-4 days the effects aren't the same as they used to be. Has this happened to anyone else? It seems that after only taking it for 2-3days i have somehow grown immune to the drug. OH... Hello All.... .I am new.  but am very happy to be able to talk to someone who can relate. My son is 12 years old.  He is adhd.  VERY HYPER.  Becoming defiant and unbearable. He has been on concerta ... 36mg... he is Underweight and sometimes uses 10 mg. of ritalin with it.  My son is only wieghing 69 pounds on a good day. He is underwieght and this concerns me.  I would cut his meds down but it already doesnt work as it is.  I know he probably needs to change his dosage but is underwieght as it is.  but his behavior is unbearable.. IM STUCK... shoudl I switch to another med?> is there something better.?you just replied to my post by bring up something irrelevant ... you have to start a new topic if you want to ask another question. well i will reply to your post regardless. I used to be a very undersized when i was younger. I wasn't on medicine or anything like that, but once I began to play sports, the weigh just came on naturally. Maybe you should put your child into Judo or Wrestling, which puts him/her against opponents who are the same size as them, unlike football. (Karate does not work) Also don't force them to eat until they puke. Give the combat sports a shot and see if they work or not.
