I have read lots of warnings for people on bipolar meds and vyvanes combined, all psych meds r from my mind doc as i like to call him. anyone close to taking the meds i do and if it is bad? any help would be helpful. I'm supposed to start the vyvanse in the morning but am worried HELP thanks, KT

I take Strattera with Lamictal. My Dr. said the interaction comes between ADD meds and meds like Prozac...

How is Lamictal working for you? I getting ready to up my dose. He's slowly taking me to 100mgs.

um.. usually wen you have two diagnoses at the same time like that, one is just a symptom of the other... i would focus on the more severe one- which is probably bipolar, and not worry so much about ADD- its not safe to mix drugs, but doctors will hesitate to tell you this because ultimately, they make more money that way. kinda sad... but true :) With bipolar and ADHD, they usually get the bipolar under control before starting treatment with ADHD meds. This is because ADHD meds can cause mania in people with bipolar (and thus the warnings on the med).
