I quit my job and I feel terrible. I get impatient in my job and I don't respect authority figures for fear of getting taken advantage of. I'm afraid of what my future will be. I'm afraid I won't have a job or a family, I'll have nothing. I'll be struggling my whole life.

Oh poor Cheeky, things are a bit yucky!

Sounds like you are a touch overwhelmed and depressed at the moment.

Perhaps it is time to learn DETACHMENT and FAITH and LETTING GO!

I feel the same way atm, but I think what keeps me going is faith in the fact that I do contribute in some way, the way I am intended to.

Life is a struggle for everyone Cheek, No matter what social class, everyone seems to be dissatisfied.

Satisfaction comes from within little grasshopper!

Thanks for the support, everyone. It's been a rough couple months, my body is still recovering from the heart surgery I had in August. But I'm doing better, the skipped beats are coming less frequently as my heart is healing.

As for my ADHD, just know I'm starting to get better help for it. I'm with a great team of counselors (a "team" of them, can you believe it??) and I'm trying not to be so hard of everyone, most of all myself.

Hey cheeky, sorry to hear you're down. Sounds like you're in a bad moment. But try to be positive. Think of all the good things about you. Not being able to keep a job  becomes a really small problem when you start to think about the potential you have inside you.

At least keeping a job is a physical thing that you CAN change with persistance. Anyway, even if you do keep moving about then think of all the experiences you'll gain and the new people you'll meet. As long as you get a job straight after you lose one. I think there's something more exiting about trying lots of jobs than staying in the same one all your life.

Keep smiling and seeing the good parts of you

Hi Cheeky.

Just wanted to let you know I was thinking of you.
I KNOW how it feels.

Here's some strength and some sunshine.  :o)

Hi Cheeky.

I am so sorry to hear that you are feeling so low. What a bummer. You are a wonderful person. Sometimes wonderful people are expected to fit into some narrow mold of behavior that is not what they are all about (Albert Einstien, Thomas Edison, and Henry Ford would probably not last long at any of the jobs you have had).

So I guess you are just not the sheep, oops I mean clone, oops I mean robot, oops I mean comformist, that some people expect.

You will eventually find the right fit. But in the meantime, don't be hard on yourself. When things like this happen, it is cause and effect. It has nothing to do with your self-worth. You just need to find your spot.

You are like a world-class speed skater who has been trying to make it playing football!

For now, I am sorry that you feel so bad. Hang in there!
