Advise needed! Help!!! | ADHD Information

OK yall, here I go again. Getting my daughter to take her medicine! She is 9 and in 4th grade. We originally started with Concerta in 2nd grade, but she got herself so worked up/anxious about taking the pill it took her 10 minutes to take the darn thing!! I enev put it in ice cream so it would go down easier. Then I found out about Daytrana patch, LOVED IT!! Except for the little bit of itching and red marks after taking it off. But now I am now a single parent and get no child support so I can not afford the patch (0 per month). And I already used the 40 free coupon.

The doctor prescribed Addreall 15mg and let us know that it can be sprinkled into applesauce or pudding. Well my daughter doesn't like either, so we have been using icing or ice cream. And it has turned into the old stuff, she stands at the counter and looks at it and attempts to put it in her mouth, pulls the spoon out and repeats. I AM READY TO SCREAM!! I can not do this again. It takes up to much time in the morning and gets me frustrated.

Does anyone have any suggestions for me??? Any advise would be greatly appreciated!!!

okay my 8 year old was the same way or is the same way he has bene on meds since 6 years old can can not swallow the pills and when i try to force it his ODD kicks in. they make a medication called Methyln chewable, they also have  liquid I believe the generic is 155 generic but most insurances cover it...it works wonders for my son. She stands there and puts the spoon in her mouth and takes it out, in and out. I tried to just put the spoon in her mouth but she gags and spits it out.

With Vyvanse...new drug from shire...you can actually break open the pill and put into a glass of water...she would never have to know it is there. You cant do this with most ADD meds, but it actually has to be digested to work. Maybe you can put in in her juice or milk... or in her oatmeal??
