My son has sensory issues and adhd, but does not have autism. You may want to consult another doctor. The information you mention is not accurate.
Mine is adhhhhhhhhhhhd, with sensory stuff. Once we started meds, his sensory became so much better. He has an OT at school who has helped with writing and relaxing, but the meds have truly helped.
I would consult another professional.
Just my opinion.
My son is 10 and has ADHD as well as PDD. He takes Dexedrine and currently, Zyprexa. He was on the Risperdal, but it made him very anxious and caused some urine accidents on the higher dose. The Zyprexa seems to be working - currently on 7.5 mg, may increase to 10 mg.
What does your son take for the ADHD? Is the Clonodine for sleep problems? - just curious.

I have a 5 year old son who was diagnosed last October with ADHD and Autism Spectrem Disorder, although the autism is very mild. Currently he's on Risperdal and Clonodine. Does any one else have this in their young ones? He is in Kindergarten now and a special ed teacher is in his class to help in one on one, but for the most part he does things with the other children. I still have a problem sometimes with temper fits (like throwing himself on the floor). But for the most part he's pretty good. A little defiente. I'm just curious if there more of you out there.
