!&*%$#! Chaos!!! | ADHD Information

So much freaking chaos!

I hate it!!! Junk mail, bills, late payments... Why does the world have to be
so frustratingly un-organized. I want to build a house in the woods and
not depend on cell phones, tvs, electricitys, cars, gas, or anything.

I'm a software engineer, and I'm working from home now... Well, working
is a subjective term in this case. The last few weeks I'm lucky if I can work
for more than an hour ot two a day. I'm just so busy with eating, trying fit
in some exercise, paying bills, reading news, going to the chiropracter,
fixing my house, cleaning, buying groceries... it's a never ending list.

How does anybody do it all? I have no idea where to begin to even start,
or who to ask for help...

My psychiatrist always seems more interested in my medecine than trying
to figure out what's going on with me. Maybe I need to change doctors,
but like that will matter, what can they learn or even do in an hour once a
month?

Thanks for putting up with my rant.

Thoughts anyone?

Get better organized.  /e duck

Working at home is a challenge for everyone, because we're home. If you think about your friends who work they have no choice but to be in the office 8 hours plus the commute time. You need to clock in and work all day.

Make a big deal about how things are going to change and you need to get better organized. If your wife/husband calls and asks you to do something just start saying I'm busy. Housework can wait, cooking can be better organized, maybe you can't drive your kids to every single function they want to attend, etc. People will take as much as you give.

I now pay all my bills online, even the local stuff.

Oh and pyschiatrist dont deal in emotions, they are responsible for the getting the meds right.  Perhaps you need a psychologist or counsellor.  A life coach might be a good thing for you also. CheersHi Sean,

Wow, I am really relating to everyone's posts today so far!

I "work" from home too.

In addition to your issues, I can add that I need a nap at about 11 a.m., people want to call and chat me up for 2 hours, laundry is screaming at me, papers and receipts are all over the place, then there are interesting websites to read and post to (and you know, my masterpiece posts take more than a minute to write).

You'd think the solution would be for me to go into work. M'hahahaha. Work is the place where I surf the web, walk to and from the kitchen constantly, chat with co-workers....and on and on and on.

I guess, like exercise, we just have to identify the trouble spots and seek solutions...get knowledge and build our weak areas up?
