You should be very proud of your son!  He acted very responsibly.  Kudos to him, and to you for training him how to react in an emergency. This is a good example of why kids with ADHD can be very bright. With proper treatment, a stable family, helpful neighbors and friends, and a school community who understands and care, our kids will become exceptional people. Your recent story shows that your kids are already exceptional! Thank you so much for sharing and encouraging us all with your good news. Please tell your son that we're very proud of him!

I just wanted to share a great story :-)

My 8 year old son who has adhd/odd did the best deed yesterday, a bunch of kids were fooling around at the bus stop yesterday morning and my older son Dylan was hit in the face with a metal pipe of sorts....and began bleeding. Cody got a car to stop (he wasnt in the road) and got his brother some help and then took his bag onto the bus, while our neighbor helped dylan home so they could call me (i had just left for work). Cody went from the bus into the school and found the first teacher and told her what had happened and handed her Dylan's bookbag, Mrs. Webster asked Cody all of the questions (where is he, is he with mom) he told her no that I had just left for work, and that our neighbor had dylan. Mrs. webster when to Dylan's teacher and they both headed to the office to call me at that time i had already walked into the school (i work about 2 min from my house).

everyone was so proud of him and his smart thinking and quick action to the situation, Dylan need a few stitches we think but we got it cleaned up and stopped the bleeding and put the liquid bandaid on it so we didnt have to go to the ER for hours. Today they both road the bus after me and the other kids moms talked to them about proper behavior at the bus stop and what happens when you fool around. There is about 10 kids at the bus stop from grade 2-5th and they are in a great area and safe from traffic. The bus was a little late and I had to get to work so they were alone for a few seconds.

What a caring, compassionate brother!

Well done!

I am extremely proud of him, he has made such improvements this year :-)

Isn't it great to find out that the stuff we tell them about safety and what to do in an emergencey actually does sink in!Wow those are the moments that keep us as parents going. He must be really proud of himself and his quick thinking can be a big bonus sometimes.   GreatGreat story. You should be proud of him .
