I have to brag just a little. My son started Tenex along with his Foculin this year and I wrote the teacher a note after 1 week asking how he was doing. She took the time to call me herself and she told me what a wonderful shild he was, attentive to his school work, smart, eager to please.

She then told me about an incident on the playground. She stated that there is a boy in the class who just moved to SC from San Antonio. She stated this child was just sobbing and crying due to missing his grandfather and that my son went up to him and told him that it was ok to cry, that he could still call and write his grandfather. She stated it was one of those moments when you have a tear in your eye. She then stated my son patted this child on the back and got him up to play.  She said " your child has it.  Dont worry"

I cant remember ever being this proud!!!!!

I just love this post!

We may all be here posting all our "problems" and our children's doings, but the one thing that seems to be common in our ADHD'ers is the compassion that they have. My son has it as well.

I wonder if it is that they have been through so much and understand when someone else is having a bad day more than those that don't have to deal with what our kids do every single day.

We just have to keep doing what we are all doing and our children will grow up and be able to handle the world just fine!

What a wonderful boy!

What a wonderful little boy!  You have every right to brag, you are doing a great job with him.  Way to go to both of you!   You should be beaming with pride.  That's awesome!  longsally, I am so happy for you! I know you have been struggling so much. Good for him! You should be proud, what a sweet boy! .thanks!!!! He has also been on "green" for a week solid now, something that has not happenned before.  I really could not be any prouder of him.

What a sweetie!  The meds are obviously working, but he doesn't get that empathy unless he sees it from you at home.  Keep up the great work!
