constant skin irritation a female thing | ADHD Information
I did not have a chance to call the doctor today due to my crazy schedule, no lunch break either. I ate at my desk and went crazy. I will try on Monday.
She is on Ritalin La, Nasanex nasal spray for all year round allergies and Zertec which will be ending soon only for seasonal alllergies. We also have eczema cream for she gets eczema and that was another thought could some of the red and itchyness be that? I will call the Pediatrition to ask later when I have a private moment. Where I work you hardly get a private moment so I would have to try.
I would find out the side effects listed on those meds, doctor should know. My nephews have had eczema but I do not know if it went to private area. Might be something there though. Or it could just be she doesn't wipe her self all the way and it is irratating her. If it is that you can try baby wipes. Just can't flush those. I had my son use them at first when he started wiping himself. I would definitely ask your doctor about meds and the eczema. My child seems to constantly get irritation around her private area where she will itch it and it will be red and sore. My guess is poor hygiene for she does forget to wipe due to distraction. I have her put cream on it and have her soak in the bathtub with baking soda as per the Pediatrition. Anyone else have these issues? Mind you everytime it occurs we make her medicate it herself and I call the doctor so they are aware in case some fool gets the wrong idea I have a paper trail.
Is she on any medication that this could be a side affect? I have boys so I can't give you any personal advice from experience. If it happened to me I would think I had a yeast infection. I would also try a bath with epson salt but the baking soda is probably the same thing. I would maybe try some powder in her pants there too.
