Tiredness is only a problem for me once I hit 80mg. At the moment I am on 60 and it's managable. When I tried 80 I was totally zonked.
If I am feeling tired I have a coffee which often does the trick of getting me over the intial just taken meds feeling.
One thing my psych said to me today was the fact that it makes me tired confirms the diagnosis as, in non adhders it has the opposite effect.
I'm very tired and just started Strattera. I'm on the 40mg and will be on 80mg starting Sunday ...
never slept so much in my life! i'm 28/f.. i kinda always knew i had add..well the dr. confirmed it the other day. not only add, but she said i had alot of adhd symptoms as well.
so she put me 4 wks strattera. first week 18mg 2nd week 25mg and 3 &4th week 40mg. only 1 tablet a day in am.
well took it yesterday..besides the headache i had all damn day long..i felt groggy at work.. not even groggy..i felt sedated!! i came home and slept for 2 hours!!! I NEVER NAP.
i hate this stuff... i know i cant give up yet.. but my god..im sooo tired i cant even focuc. its actually ridiculous. do i have to wait a month for my followup to complain? its awful.
any advice and experiences you are willing to share would greatly be appreciated. that is if i can stay up later to read them ;(
my doctor gave me samples of strattera to try. i was sooo tired, omg so irritable, and if anybody said anything at all that i didn't like or agree with, well watch out cause that's how bad i was. it was like i was "coming off" of wayyy too much adderall for about 8 or so hours. the only thing that made me act slightly normal was i had a beer with supper.
