40 y/o m just found out im adhd ? | ADHD Information

After i would out i looked back and was amazed how much the adhd affectrd my life.I was wondering was it adhd ,me or someting else? In k when we ad nap time i would always be playing in 1 ,2 and 3 grade iwas alwya a level or 2 beind the average readers in 4 g i was always stay in for recess because i ad a dirty desk and could never find tings in delaying class somtimes in 5 grade my feet where never on the floor during class always moving in my desk in and found out later they wanted to hold me back but my mom made tem pass me then in 6 te first time i totaly flunked te 2 time in 6 i would usally  get low grades but like in math  iwould get f on test f on assignments but still got passing grade i 7 and 8 i was always in the principle office and skipped a lot in 9 pretty much skipped and never did home work and had a mouth one time in a class the ones that didnt do the assignment had to stay after clas there was one girl how always did her work and the teacher was yelling at her first and with out thought it just came out i called him a dick and to stop yelling at her i got sent to the office then in 10 got kicked out went to a differt school alternative then to adult ed. just to get my ged. but from 16 to 21 y/o it was like 1 big party i was getting to bars at 17 my first girlfriend out of higshool got pregnant and she put pressure on me to get married but i new it would work out we were like fire and gas se still wanted to get married se could really push my buttons  some one would of went to jail if we got married she had a temper and i think she was a control freak se te left state before  she had the baby and only got to see the child a few times se pretty much kept the baby from  me all my life  the child is now 19 y/o, i got married at 21 y/o and ave 2 kids daughter 14 y/o and boy 5 y/o the only stuff that affected me from21 to now is i never sleep i could get 3 to 4 hous a night ten it caught up with me iwas depressed a bit had anxiety went to dr to get someting to sleep and got sent to more drs. to find out why and at the end of it found out i was adhd, got put on ritalin paxil and xanax, i also i guess had a short fuse on my temper had most times could not control it, but on meds its been easier to do that and i been calmer, please let me know wat you think about this i knew there was always something but i thought it was bipolar so any comments would be elpful.should of started out     after i found out.....I recently turned 22 years old university student, diagnosed with adhd inattentive type less than a year ago.    My dad is in his mid 50's and was diagnosed with adhd a few months after I was. Both of us, after diagnosis initially accepted it, later it began to hurt.

Now, about a year later for both of us, we've learned a lot and grown to become better individuals from the knowledge of us personally having adhd. My mom thought my father was bipolar for the past about 25 years of their marriage. My father never would have been diagnosed if it were not for me. His small business under his name has come a long way and both of our lives professionally (for me its college), socially and domestically have improved since our diagnosis.
