i agree, mention it to the pediatrician for a referral to a pediatric neuropsych.

They will do the formal evaluation and diagnosis. I believe a psychopharmacologist who specializes in medications is your best route, if you chose to medicate. Our pediatrician told us he is NOT a specialist with those types of meds and refered us to the pharmacologist. He may also qualify for an IEP or 504 at school as well, but that is for a later post. Just get an appointment and go from there!

SOON!   Do you have a teen with adhd?  Just looking to compare symptoms I would start with your child's ped and then on to a psychol. HELP anyone..i need to get started getting my teen help ie: diagnosing, treating, therapy etc.  Where do i start?  What kind of doctor do i start with.  ASAPemergency!
