does anyone know if dexedrine spanules can be stopped on the  weekendsThey should be like the other stimulants in this reguard because they are out of the system within hours. There are pros and cons to skipping weekends. It can be beneficial if the child needs to gain weight. You can see side effects if the dose is not minimal and you are starting and stopping. Docs are more commonly suggesting 7 days a week for best results. All things to consider with the doc. I strongly encourage not skipping days unless you are still growing (height-wise.) It is not beneficial if the child is trying to gain weight, I can tell you that from first hand expierience. You get more side effects when you skip days. If you can stay out of trouble in the summer without the medication I highly recommend in taking a break in the summer if you're under 18, it really effects your growth. I started on Adderall when I was 14 and in six years I've grown a total of 3"... I haven't grown since I started taking it everyday instead of just for school (around my 17th birthday) but I'm no longer skinny as a rail... I've taken Dexadrine as well and they are very similar medications. The only difference I've found between them is my concentration level was much better on Adderall.
