Adderall XR and dialated pupils | ADHD Information

It is caused by the Adderall. Amphetamines, like other narcotics cause
pupil dilation. No worries if your son isn't complaining.My son is on 20mg/daily of Adderall XR and I just noticed the other day that his pupils were huge.  I didn't really give it much more thought but now I'm wondering the same thing.  From my personal experience, yes it does dilate your pupils.  To answer your question, it is the medicine.  Afterall, the same thing happens to individuals that use speed, coke, and so forth.  Hence the reason why I stopped my meds for good pun intended.

My son started Adderall XR 5 mgs today and this morning his pupils were very very little....before bed...in his room with the lights on..they were HUGE.  Weird.

My son's pupils have been really large lately even when he's in a brightly lit room.  Could this be a side effect of the 15 mgs of Adderall XR he takes?  I just can't think of anything else to attribute it to right now.
