Well, this is how it is. My brother has severe adhd and he's now 22 years old. He's in and out of jail. Stealing things from other members of the family and who ever visits the house. My mother is despreate for help. We've been told that there's group homes where he can go to live and they will teach him how to take care of himself. Although we never got enough information to actually find one of these homes we are desprate. It's getting to the point where you ask him about what he's done he becomes extremly aggressive and has thretened and attacked people with knives and what not. I'm hoping someone could help us out. It's getting to much to handle. We live in Toronto if anyone has any advice it would be GREATLY appreactied.

Well for starters, I am unsure if he has ADHD alone. If he is attacking people with knives, perhaps he has a paranoia or drug abuse problem (thinking everyone is out to get him). This is a different condition all together.
If you cant get him into a group home perhaps you could get him into a psychiatrict hospital till they balance his medications.
But regardless, he needs to get out of the home as he is physically too big for you all to handle - he has the upper hand, that is not good.
