Hi Sober,
I just responded to your post in another section. Most adults who are taking Vyvanse have stated it only lasts 8-10 hours and sometimes less. It lasts 9-10 hours for me at the 60mg dose, on 30mg or 50mg it only lasted about 7-8 hours. I know someone here posted that they take a Vyvanse in the morning and then take a short acting stimulant later in the day before the Vyvanse wore off completely and had success with that.
With my schedule now, the 9-10 hours works best for me because I take if after I nurse my baby around 9am and then I need it to wear off before I go to bed so I can nurse again arond 9pm and it is out of my system generally by 7pm.

adhdgirl2939369.3616435185You probably aren't on high enough of a dose. Vyvanse hasn't really been approved for adults and the 30mg seems to be pretty low for adults, even kids seem to do better on a higher dose, but the doctors start you on a lower one and raise it up. I have been on Vyvanse for a little over 2 weeks now. The 30mg hasn't been as effective as when I doubled the dose to 60mg. I have also felt more of a desire to have my own space, but I think some of that is because everything is so different now. I was only recently diagnosed and haven't been on any other adhd meds.
I have been documenting my experience on Vyvanse on my blog, if you are interested. I would like to hear more about your experience too.

Hi everybody!
The first day of 30 mg made me passive and I noticed I wanted to be alone. Besides that, I had a little bit of irritability starting at the fourth hour. I know everyone is different but anyone had similiar situtations? Could it be that I miss the "high" from my 40 mg Ritalin LA?
