Mac has been doing really good for the last few months, the summer was really good. He has been on 54 mg of concerta daily, w suppliment of 15 mg of ritalin around 5 or so every evening...but....
He has started backsliding. He had a checkup a week ago and I bragged on him to his ped. She asked if we needed to chage his meds, i told her no, everything is working great, dont want to mess with it. He is doing good in schoo, athome...everything. But every since then he started going down hill. Hyper of the evenings even AFTER his ritalin. Ive upped it to 20 mgs on my own and that seems to help. His concerta seems like it might be wearing off sooner too. He isnt doing as good in school....not horrible, but not as good. He is going back to giving me a hard time at bed time too. Can they start to change overnight like that? Any insite?
I agree, talk with the doctor. Do not make any med changes without them as it can be dangerous. Keep in close contact, even if you did just see them.I would speak to the Psych,. The changes could mean any number of things. and DO NOT raise the meds on your own, that could be dangerous.
