i am wondering if anyone is taking strattera and how they are doing on it and how they like it and what is thee lowest EFFECTIVE dose that they are on?
i just started the 18 mgs two days and so far it is ok...i have read of people noticing good things after only 3-4 days and although that would be nice it is not realistic and not so sure i would know it if it hit me anyways.
any comments on strattera would be greatly appreciated! am looking for some positive feedback!
IT REALLY DEPENDS ON YOUR BRAIN CHEMISTRY. I COULD GIVE YOU A ROUGH OVERVEIW OF HOW THESE MEDS WORK IF YOU'D LIKE. i HAVEN'T HEARD ANY DOSAGE REPORTS, BUT i HAVE HEARD ALOT OF PEOPLE LOVED IT AND ALOT HATED IT. SOME PEOPLE SAY IT WORKS WELL FOR THEM BUT THEY HAVE TO TAKE IT AT NIGHT DUE TO A SLEEPY EFFECT. IT'S A GREAT MED FOR THE RIGHT PEOPLE. LIKE ALL ADD MEDS, NONE ARE GOOD OR BAD. TRAIL AND ERROR IS REALLY ALL YOU CAN DO WHEN IT COMES TO MEDS. I take 60 mg of Strattera. I had to work very slowly up to this dose. It gave me an upset stomach. It seems to be working well now though. Sometimes I feel it doesn't work as well as it should. That could be all in my head.I have been on strattera since 10/11 went from 25,40, 65 and now 80 mg, I do not see any significant improvement in my life. I may be a little less irritable, impatient, more attentive but do not know for sure. The side effects that bother me are the way I feel right before my dose and the horrible way I feel when I take it unless I take it w/big meal. I feel like stopping it and will talk to my doc on Monday. My husband says I have been less bitchy. Definitely have NOT had an aha moment like I have heard from others with great success from meds.
I, like you, have been seeking input from people who have had improvement. Where are those people???? Laura
