i have a friend that got adderal for her daughter online thru walgreens i believe. she got 3 months at a time if i remember correctly. i'm looking for a way to not spend 90 dollars a month on our own for ritalin LA for my daughter. looking for some helpful hints here. our pediatrician wrote three different scripts out for ritalin LA just this week to cover us for the next 3 months...i'd love to save some money if at all possible.

most insurance companies work with mail order pharmacies. Find out which one yours is and contact them. Mine has an on-line option. For ours (I think this is how most work) you get a 90 day script from your doctor and they will send you a 90 day supply for the cost of 60 days worth co-pay. For example we are switching to Daytrana, it is a per month co-pay, if I get a 90 day script it wll cost me .00 for 90 day supply. It's like getting one month free......sort of..........definitely worth it.You should check with your insurance company. Mine only allows 30 at a time, and my state only allows 30 days at a time too. A concerta rx expires 5 days after it is written here, so the Psych can only write 1 at a time.thanks for your replies.. i did contact our insurance company and found out who they use for online rx's...unfortunately the savings would have only been roughly .00 for 3 months. i was hoping for more! and they need a turn around of about 14 days...it just doesn't seen worth the worry and bother to do it online, unfortunately. i think i'll keep paying .00 and take each script to the pharmacy each month and know that i have the med in time:)

once you know this med is working and dose is good, then submit it, it's worth the savings. I have used mine and I always got everything on time
