Strattera | ADHD Information

Straterra takes forever to work, stick it out for awhile and see if it starts working.

About 2-3 years ago I started Concerta and got real jittery, so they switched me to Adderal XR, which was much better.  There were some side effects, a little buzziness maybe.  I took that for about a year and then stopped, some life changes and so forth.  The ADD symptoms started to bug me enough to talk to another doctor recently, so I started Strattera, and I was really looking forward to seeing how this new medication worked.  Although the web site promises little or no side effects, I can't help but notice some edginess and irritability, and I'm only taking 20 mg to start.  I'm a 6'5" guy so I figure they'll be shooting for the 60 mg max eventually?  Has anyone experienced this, and should I stick with it and ride out the side effects or should I just go back to life without meds?

Ken, it can take up to 6 weeks for you to see the full effects of the med.

When my son started, each week it was something else that was "off".  Once he hit 6 weeks he leveled off & the only side effect that stayed is an upset stomach if he doesn't eat enough when he takes the Strattera.
