ADHD meds and hair pulling/weight gain | ADHD Information

Has anyone else had a child taking Adderrall XR, Focalin, or Vyvanse and had the kid pull their hair out, ONLY when on the meds? I'm also wondering about my daugher's sudden weight gain since trying Focalin and Vyvanse...Has anyone else ever had these experiences? I might sound crazy but I know what I see.It sounds like the meds are not right. My DD is one of the few that has appetite INCREASE on stims, so I know that can happen. What is her diagnosis? What does the Psych say? my daughter did the hair pulling on Concerta/Ritalin LA. We stopped stims...........quickly............and it stopped as soon as we did. That was awful. We spent the summer trying a tricyclic antidepressant (Desipramine) which actually was great her anxiety went down, tics went away, ADHD under control. Now that school has astarted it wasnt cutting it. We started yesterday on Daytrana, we're hoping with the different absorption of the patch, the side effects with be less...........only time will tell. IMO I'd take a stimulant break and try non stimulant to stop the hair pulling.
