grumpy when coming off Dexedrine? | ADHD Information

I'm an adult woman with ADHD. I just started taking Dexedrine to help me do school work as I've returned to university as a mature student. I've noticed that I'm quite grumpy when I'm coming "off" the effects of Dexedrine. Is this a common side-effect? The Dexedrine does help with my performance, but that sort of mini-hangover makes me wonder if Dexedrine is more of a recreational drug than an ADHD drug. I dunno what to think, or if I feel comfortable being on this every day, even though it works for me when I'm "on" it.
