Most of the things you list above could be side effects.
this is my first post. here is a short history of me -
ADHD diagnosed 3rd grade. took ritalin up until 7th or 8th grade, when i decided to go off of it. graduated high school, did 2 years of community college, then started a 4 year school. in first year of school, decided i needed something to help with concentration again and went on concerta. kicked it over winter break. went back on in the spring. kicked it in the summer. went back on 1st semester of sophmore year. stayed on it most of sophmore year. kicked it over the summer again. and now for the present..
i am 22, male, in junior year of college. i decided i needed to go back on it recently. i am not able to get a smaller dose to work my way back up to my usual of 54mg, so im starting out at 54. its a bit of a shock to my system. i want to know if anyone has any symptoms similar to mine, and if anyone has any advice or wisdom to share with me. here are my symptoms:
- anxiety
- sensitive bowels/bladder (i'm going to the bathroom frequently with little output)
- a general acheyness later in the day
- decreased appetite (i keep forgetting to eat!)
- occasional increased heart rate
- and finally, i'm not noticing much or any change in my ability to concentrate. is this because i still need to adjust to the dosage? can anyone give me a ball park guess as to how long the adjustment period is? thanks for your help.
