Nice call from the teacher | ADHD Information

Congratulations! The dreaded school call and it was good, that doesnt happen often. .

I am happy to say that I got a call today from my son's teacher to say that he was doing very well academincally and he was paying good attention. She seems surprised that we have so many questions and concerns. Of course this is the first school year he has been diagnosed and treated with meds. I am so proud of him. In the past teachers have always considered him polite but always off in the space some where.

On the down side, we saw the pedi yesterday and according to his records my son has lost 7 lbs in a month.  I was surprised because I thought he was eating okay  - certainly better than on the Adderall. He is now on 36 mg of Concerta. We will watch his weight this month and see the MD again.

Also - when the pedi asked my son if he could pay attention better now in school, he said "Definately!"   I think all the trial and error is going to be worth it, if he, himself, notices such a difference.
