Side Effects Tenex | ADHD Information

My ds (8)  started on Tenex about a week ago . Its helped tremendously with the mornings and evening problems we were having ! He is also on Daytrana 15 mg ( for about 1 yr now ) . He is on 1 mg Tenex at night and I just started giving him .5 mg in the morning . He is complaining of headaches and "not feeling good" .Sometimes complains of nausea and stomachache. Will this pass ?? Is this too much Tenex for him ?? could his blood pressure be dropping too low ? I hate all of these side effects !! But this combo really seems to be working otherwise . What should I do ??

It could be the Tenex, My dd had some very serious BP issues while taking it.

It is also possible it is too much, or was started at too high of a dose. DD's psych started her at .25 mgs, then raised it.

You could check with the doc and see if you can reduce the AM dose to .25 until your son's body adjusts to it. Also make sure he is well hydrated during the day. Stimulants can cause them not to eat and drink as much and can increase dehydration, stomach aches and make side effects worse.
