How did you feel?... | ADHD Information

Like I wanted to cry, because of the relief, and the realization of how many years I'd wasted thinking life was supposed to be THAT hard. THe first day my DS took his meds he was totally spaced out - it was wierd.  He was only 5 1/2 but he said he felt wierd.  But the next day or so he was fine on the meds.

I've just gotten the diagnosis, and I'm going to try out medications next week. I was just wondering what to expect.

The first few days I took it, absolutely nothing.  Then when my dose was increased, it felt as if a light switch had been turned on.  Everything I had been struggling to do now felt very natural. [QUOTE=Quirky]

I research ANY drug I take. I suggest the same. This cuts down the fears and I know which side effects are normal and how to minimize them and which are more dangerous.  Then I make an informed decision whether I am willing to take it, or not.

I also put my friends on "med watch" in case I go weird or anything
