Not that I am aware of, it is Genetic, and has other causes . Some say Autism is related to vaccines however, and I KNOW my SIL's son was not autistic before his 10 month old shots. He was after them though.

I just picked up on this cause early this year. Barkley discussed it on a DVD workshop and I was in interested on how often this occurs. Wanted to validate what you were reporting. Streptococcal Infections can be causative. More people need to be aware of this.

Yes, DD's ADHD was caused by Strep, ear infections actually.
We are getting a better handle on the causes of adhd. It is mostly heredity but other things can be causative, alcohol, smoking during pregnancy. premature birth and low birth weight are all known factors. Lead exposure, head injuries and a number of other post birth causes involving a relatively small number of people have been cited. I have not seen vaccines mentioned so it probably is not linked.
