how to get focalin Rx in the UK? | ADHD Information
You might go through a support group to find a path through the diagnostic issues in the UK:

Focalin may not be available in the UK

honestly, i don't think i can be bothered. it sounds too difficult and i don't think it'll work anyway. but i'll see about making the first step to getting a referral to a psychiatrist.
thanks,
hiya,
i believe i have mild ADD and mild depression. i have not been diagnosed with either. i tried going to the GP and they referred me to a "graduate therapist", but i was too apathetic to bother going as i don't think they'll prescribe meds. maybe anti-deps, but i don't like the sound of them and i'm content with 5htp, tyrosine, st. johns wort, omega 3 oil, and vitamins for depression.
i am trying brainwave entrainment but am skeptical whether it works at all.
i tried a friends ritalin and it was brilliant! totally life changing, it made me motivated and excited to be alive. but i experienced some side effects and though it tough, i decided to not take it again for my health.
i've read about focalin and it sounds like it may be perfect for me. but i am almost certain no doctor in the UK will prescribe it for me. it appears to be much more widely accepted in the USA than here. and i don't think my symptoms are crippling enough to merit ADD meds.
i suppose i will continue existing without ADD meds, but it feels like my life is wasting away, day by day. having tried ritalin i could see the potential for my life is so much more than what i have. i will try my GP again, but i'm nearly certian they will dismiss my request for ADD meds.
any advice?
thanks,
laike39378.1140509259Can you not see a mental health care worker over there who can see you for the ADD symptoms? It sounds like such a waste if the Rilatin helped that much.
