These meds are based on an individual's response and varies widely between people. My oldest takes 20mg focalin xr which is equivalant to 40mg ritalin (or 20mg 2x day). My youngest takes 15mg focalin, which is equivalent to 30mg ritalin ( or 15mg 2x day).
How much do you take a day?I was on 20mg of Adderall xr and 10mg of adderall once a day, then switched to Ritalin which I take 20mg 3xday, I just started taking this medication a week ago and don't really see any changes. THe adderall worked better, but I find if I accidentally overdose on the Ritalin and end up taking 40mg at one dose I do better. Have done that once and really noticed a difference but doc said only 20mg 3 times a day to start. Anyhow if I can't get the dosage adjusted right I will probably go back to if I am able to the adderall xr.
