ADD/ADHD and EFEXOR-XR | ADHD Information
I'm more back to myself now that I'm not on it 12hrs off so if this has some errors I typed it up while on that efexor-xr and have kept reediting it I must of been though this 15-20 times now.. think I have fixed spelling up etc. feeling more myself as time goes on

think I'm happy with it this last time Firstly the names of this product.
Generic Name: Venlafaxine hydrochloride
Product Name: Efexor XR or Effexor-XR
This what I have
experienced while on EFEXOR-XR
The psychiatrist prescribes EFEXOR-XR for me to try for 1 month to see
if it helps me at all if not I was to stop it. He doesn't tell me to
much just about nausea
and to stay at 75mg for a week if I'm having nausea also tells me he
has had people be on it for 4 days and be able to take the 150mg what
he wants me to try for the month.
Day 1 taken first tablet at dinner time
Felt weird after first 1 sort of out of it and odd maybe like I was high or
something felling happed about 2hrs after taking tablet and lasted for maybe
1hr also latter while that was happened legs and arms felt warmish and
continued for some time.
I felt like pressure in my head build up felt like a headache was coming on
then it went just stopped.
Muscle spasms in legs that night. Pupils dilated.
Day 2
Felt not normal that day.
Afternoon went for a about a 30min walk next day made me feel worn out and
slightly odd chest sort of felt tight but heart wasn’t racing or anything it
eased off when I was walking on slightly downhill footpath but still felt
tired.
Warm feeling in arms legs.
Felt weighed down today if that makes sense.
I also had the odd headache pressure thing then it went that day to.
Watched a program with subtitles back of head felt tingly and I felt odd it was
brief and passed. That day also had muscle spasms in legs.
That night had like a panic after I went to bed normal creaking sounds a house
makes of floor boards heard that and freaked me out was weird had to tell
myself nothing there until the feeling passed.
Day 3-4
Didn't feel normal that morning.
I had some work to do just writing stuff down etc. I felt hot and weird started
to sweat and soon after I felt stranger after this parts of head felt tingly
back and sides soon after felt I wasn’t in full control was like I had a few
too many drinks.
Lunch had to think for a while if I had eaten decided I hadn’t remembered when
I was going to get some food and realized I had eaten. Muscle spasms in legs.
Headache at about 4pm but not like normal think of the throbbing but stops it
as it throbs and you have the pressure built up and with only a slight sort of
ripple to it easing every now and then lasted to 3am had ice pack when I went
to bed it helped took panadeine for it at about 2am.
I didn't sleep per say but I was barely with it and had my eyes open and like
was out of it but just with it and could see still this morning my eyes feel
like I have been staring… Seems I slept with my eyes open.
I didn’t feel like I hadn’t slept when restless and unable to sleep but slept
but felt drained.
Waking up at 6am not being able to go back to sleep maybe sort of a light doze
sort of but that’s it.
Seem to be getting sweaty more past few days when I was feel warm
generally not as hungry
Final part
I went a Doc he wasn't surprised by whats going and to try 37.5mg for a week if the side effects continue to stop it on Saturday.
I'm not taking them I have had enough of the side effects and I have barely been on them and from what I have read lower probably won't help me seeing of what it's been doing already and I have a great distaste of Efexor-xr now.
I also don't like everything I have read about this medication it seems if you have severe depression it might be worth trying sticking to it but I don't have depression and like nothing it has done to me.
I will see my own doctor when his back from his holiday I'm not on them for depression so it's not going to matter me by not using them.
Was trying them to help ADD well seeing the results of my time on it I don't intend to try it in a hurry again that's for sure.
Side effects haven't left me yet messing with me needing to urinate as well seems this stuff takes 3 days to get out of your system.
I was taking it at dinner time it's now been about 12hrs since my last tablet I feel more with it but not yet normal but much better then when it was very active in my system that's for sure.
WARNING Do not drive while on this I wasn't warned about it and had to well... my driving was not so great 1st car trip felt a little odd didn't do anything odd then the next day I was driving poorly and stalled it at the lights.
EDITED as far as Sex: EFEXOR-XR makes you not feel much good I guess if don't last at all. Now on lower does all is normal in this area.
I did some looking about on this Efexor-XR and I'm not alone at all in side effects.

So the next one looks to be Dexamphetamine psychiatrist is doing the paper work for aproval.

The night of not taking it I slept a bit better slept in to 10am.. I feel worn out to give you an idea it's a effort to stand while going to the toilet
though at least I seem to able to go a bit better now :)My pupils haven't changed size yet also.
I have since been to my doctor and now will be breaking a 37.5mg tablet broken in half, my psychiatrist thinks this will be good to try for my ADHD so doc is having me try a it at the low dose for a week and see how I go.
I hope the lower does doesn't do all that has happened so far to me :(
EDIT: It's in a capsule so for a week I take 37.5mg every 2nd day now.

Right eye had weird pressure behind it to Friday it had more or less gone still messes slightly with need to pee more at times.
Marauder39396.021712963I'm not a doctor, nor do I claim to be. I'm just giving you my experience of Effexor. I was prescribed it for depression about 2 years ago (I wasn't even depressed. That medication was EVIL to me. I was a complete zombie while on it. I would sit in the same spot for half a day. I couldn't care for my kids and I could barely care for myself. My hands and head would constantly tingle and I was gaining weight rapidly. And I'm going to warn you right now...DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT stop this medication cold turkey if you decide that you don't want to take it anymore. It took me 3 MONTHS to wean off it. I was hallucinating, had suicidal thoughts and was just plain crazy when I was trying to wean off it. On the other hand, my mom has been on it for a long time now and LOVES it. She swears that it changed her life. She didn't experience any side effects and has no plan to ever stop it. Everyone reacts to drugs differently and this just might not be the right drug for you. I would encourage you to keep a diary and bring it to your next appt with you.Oh yeah, I forgot about the dreams. I had nightmares every night. I also had night sweats. Normally, I don't dream and I'm usually cold at night, but while on Effexor, I was having nightmares and nightsweats all the time. Just please promise that you won't stop cold turkey. Today the night after the 37.5mg I feel not normal but a lot better then when I was on 75mg
My head felt not right last night and today I don't feel normal, least it's not making me feel slowed down and out of it and staring. I also didn't get the strange pressure headache thing that was coming and going on the 75mg.
One new thing I have noticed is my right eye is like slightly sore
epically when I rub my eyes. Lastly I have noticed I think I dream more on this stuff it seems and they aren't nice dreams just weird ones..Yes it does worry me how this is going to affect me assuming side effects completely ease off I will end up going to 150mg... well if I'm one of the one it helps good if not I'm off it.
Great this means if I'm up to 225mg for a few months I could suffer what I have been reading I don't plan to just stop it cold turkey.
Well I will cross that road when I get to it for now I don't even know if I can stay on it so I'm not going to worry about it.
Well tonight is the 2nd day so I don't take it tonight my eye is still sore but that's it. Ohh 1 l last thing I don't normally dream often so it's a coincidence that I had a odd dream last night or is it
Update
Tuesday I think it made me go to the toilet a little more at doc said it might so nothing to out of the ordinary and it was nothing like when it first happened, right eye is still not normal but doesn't seem worse.
Well now for the better news took it again tonight I didn't feel it every other time have taken it it has made me feel odd in the head this time nothing

and at lunch had to to force myself to eat a bit, other than that I'm ok.edit
