Hmmm. The expiration is April 2009, but I think I'll call them anyway. Thanks for the advice!

I recently had some bad 10 mg patches of Daytrana and tried everything under the sun. Some were recently recalled, not dangerous but difficulty in backing release. If you continue to have problems, call shire and read them the lot # and expiration date. If you tell them the problem, they will send a free 40 count card.
Good luck

if this is happening I am sure its part of the recall. Anything with an exipration of March 2009 or EARLIER. Call Shire, tehy're great, they voernight expressed me a card for free patches. The new ones just take a little peel back on each side then it comes right off, all medication stays on the patch. They also gave me tips to get the backing off the old ones, so I have those too now.Diane V39389.4618865741Put it in the freezer for a few seconds, then do not handle it alot before putting it on.Hi y'all. I'm new to this and newly diagnosed as ADHD inattentive type at 41! (Something about having a 3 year old and 5 month old twins managed to blow all of my other coping mechanisms so I finally got outed). I'm on Daytrana 10 mg, and it's working great but I'm having a bear of a time getting the plastic cover off of the patch without leaving half of the medicine on it. Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks!

We have been on Daytrana since May. In the beginning we had some problems with patches but the problem seemed to resolve itself.
The most recent box we opened is unusable. We get 3 at a time (per our mail order prescription plan) and all had the same lot # and expiration date. You know the routine medicine sticking to the backing.
We noticed a huge personality change at home. I thought nothing of it until school called a few minutes ago. They told me that DD was behaving like she was NOT on medication.
Just called Shire to complain ... even though this box is not part of the recall. They were very nice, but this is so FRUSTRATING!!!
